This is the story of the transformation of our old farm yard from a traditional Norwegian farm to a top notch restaurant and conference facilities in the old barn and a unique small hotel in the old farm house.<\/p>\n

First part of the blog is about the construction, lots of pictures. The second part is about the beginning and the almost three years as a restaurant up to now.<\/p>\n

2013 we opened a small, charming hotel with six very special rooms in the old farm house. The main building is from 1860 and have five rooms, this is connected to the older farm house from the end of 1600, this is transformed into a fantastic romantic room with a fire place and the scent of ancient times evaporating from the sooted timber walls. Imagine to stay in a room where more than 20 generations have lived and worked.<\/p>\n

Soga om endringa av eit gamalt gardstun p\u00e5 Voss fr\u00e5 tradisjonelt husdyrhald til restaurant og hotelldrift. Etter at husdyrhaldet vart nedlagt i 2004 dukka sp\u00f8rsm\u00e5let om kva ein skulle gjera med husa naturleg opp. Sv\u00e6rt mykje av sjela i garden l\u00e5g i husa s\u00e5 det var uaktuelt \u00e5 riva, me enda difor opp med \u00e5 omforma l\u00f8a til ein topp restaurant\/selskapslokale der det ogs\u00e5 er gode fasilitetar for kurs og konferansar, i det gamle hovudhuset og \u00e5restova fekk me rom til eit lite hotell med seks unike rom.
Me har no drive inokre \u00e5r og det g\u00e5r fint framover.<\/p>\n
